Uncontained Lorne offers a simple and peaceful place to stay for people who want to take a break from busy life. Each container has the main comforts people need, including a small kitchen, heating or cooling and a deck that looks out to the trees. The idea is to give visitors an easy and comfortable stay while keeping a close connection to the natural surroundings.
The approach
This install was one of the most challenging projects we have taken on. The land was a steep hillside that had no real use before. The slope dropped away fast and nothing could sit on it safely. We had to plan very carefully to make sure the container could be placed in a stable and safe way.
The area is also in a full fire zone rating, which meant every part of the work needed to follow strict rules for materials and construction. The metal frame was welded on site so it matched the exact shape of the land and met all requirements. Once the structure was complete, we were able to place and install the Glamtainer smoothly.
The results
The land that once had no real use now holds a strong and stable accommodation unit. The elevated platform gives the Glamtainer a clear outlook into the trees. Guests get a quiet and comfortable stay close to nature, and the operator now has a high performing part of the property that books out well.
This project shows how a difficult site can become a valuable space when the right planning and construction come together.
